Description
The 2021 Lytton Springs was bottled in January 2023. A dry winter left the vines struggling to find water, this reduced the fruit set in all varietals especially the zinfandel. 38 parcels were harvested from September 1st to October 5th and fermented separately. 34 were selected, including vines planted in 1901 and 80 year old counoise inter-planted with cinsaut.
While this will be enjoyable now, this beautiful complex wine will continue to develop over the next 10 year and beyond.
